As this months book, Frankenstein, did much to define the Gothic tradition I thought a stage play with a dark Gothic edge would be the perfect way to round out our month.

best for her little boy…
Two sons: One dead in the ground
Another, all but dead inside.
John Billings has been sent to investigate the untimely death of a young man who seemed to have everything to live for. But, as hidden desires and dark secrets emerge, will John find a reason to start living life for himself?
Fusing Gothic romanticism and fin-de-siecle melodrama, Death Takes A Lover is a chilling and claustrophobic slice of Victoriana.
