SUMMARY:The Awakening of Cthulhu
DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe winter solstice of 2012 will occur at 11:11 GMT on Dece
 mber 21st 2012\, the same day the Mayan Long Count Calender flips over or 
 "ends" as some say. On that morning the sun will appear to rise into the a
 rea of the sky we refer to as the galactic center or nuclear bulge. It is 
 the location of the super-massive black hole at the center of the rotation
  of the the Milky Way galaxy. The sun's position in the sky on this day wi
 ll also be perceptively aligned with the "Dark Rift" (the dark band that t
 o the eye seems to divide the bright band of the Milky Way galaxy). Additi
 onally on this day\, Jupiter and Saturn will be involved in an astrologica
 l formation known as a Yod (finger of God.) With the combination of all th
 ese celestial events\, the "stars will be right" and Cthulhu will begin to
  awaken.\n\nSome things to note about this event.\n\nAs the event is in th

 sport. Due to health and safety concerns only those willing to be in bound
  mental and spiritual servitude to the great Cuthlhu should attend. All ot
 her members should prepare for The End Of The World in their own particula
 r way. In the event of The End Of The World all future Science Fiction Boo
 kclub meetings will be cancelled and refunded provided. Bookclub social ev

 sy and freedom"\n\nIn 1997 (15 years in advance to 2012) a "bloop" was hea
 rd in the southern Pacific Ocean within a 500 mile proximity of the suppos
 ed location of Cthulhu's sunken tomb-city known as R'lyeh located at 47°9
 'S 126°43'W. This "bloop" was louder than any known animal noise (even wh
 ales) and suggested to possibly be from a gigantic cephalopod.\n\nCthulhu'
 s appearance has been said to be of a gigantic cephalopod with a body like
  a man's and bat-like wings. "a monster of vaguely anthropoid outline\, bu
 t with an octopus-like head whose face was a mass of feelers\, a scaly\, r
 ubbery-looking body\, prodigious claws on hind and fore feet\, and long\, 
 narrow wings behind"\n\nCthulhu rises in 2012.
